I instantly panicked when the Vesuvio Bakery closed and the “store for rent sign” appeared.  Instead of the norm these days…taking a classic, old store front and turning it into a hip clothing store or over-priced t-shirt gallery, it appears the new owner of the bakery is keeping the spirit alive; something in the vein of integrity.  Mr. Rubin (of City Bakery) THANK YOU for keeping a piece of New York History alive. 160 Prince Street thanks you.
