Should I be in NYC later this month, I would make a point to drop in  the Grey Art Gallery for the Downtown Pix  (1961-1991) show. Ho hum; at least I can feel part of the times with the suggested reading list.  Man, I have some catching up to do on titles. It looks as if I’ve only read Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain’s brilliant Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk.

The true downtown pioneers long before the Paul Sev’s of the world invaded.
