Per it’s name, Fast Company, doesn’t waste any time when it comes to Design Within Reach.  They’re on the case and certainly right on the mark to report DWR will close its Tools For Living Stores. The SoHo location was great, clean and organized; always a nice runner-up to MoMA’s design store. I loved their massive paper clips, Speed Racer, Stanley Flask, Japanese Tape and Tiffins.  Great place to buy something on the run (sans a big ole’ bottle of wine) for a birthday or hostess gift. FC reports, as the company carries out the process of shutting down locations, “Tools for Living as a category will continue to live on in select DWR Studios and on the Web,” Chris Hope, VP of marketing and creative, tells FastCompany.com. “We’re excited about creating a narrower and more focused assortment.”
