Just thinking aloud here, but is 2011 the year of the meatball.

Yep, anytime I read the Lower East Side’s Meatball Shop is opening in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (signed, sealed, delivered…come Spring) and plans for another outpost in the West Village (Summer)…I can only think it will replace the brussel sprout, the pickle, the current gastro pig movement, the truffle mac and cheese, the artichoke dip, the blue fin tuna…

Soon, we will see Meatball trucks and an intense infiltration of menu items meatball related.

Look I grew up on my mom’s (grandmother’s) Sicilian meatballs; an old family recipe that will never creak out to the public.   Guess what…you are missing out too.
